Program GoalsThis activity is designed to meet the educational needs of health care professionals interested in learning about the role of eGFR in detection, evaluation and management of chronic kidney disease. Target AudienceEndocrinologists, Nephrologists, primary care physicians including those in the specialties of: Family Practice, Internal Medicine and subspecialties, and related healthcare professionals. Educational ObjectivesAfter completing this activity, participants should be better able to: Recognize the incidence and impact of CKD as a Public Health Problem Discuss stages of progression and therapeutic strategies for CKD Interpret serum creatinine measurements and CFR estimates Evaluate referral patterns from primary care physicians to nephrologists and other medical specialists Summarize strategies for improving CKD treatment and limiting progression of the disease Faculty
